Founded in 2010 in the lanes of 18 West, Lamavilla, Gorkha Rising Star began the way most clubs worth following do: a borrowed pitch, one ball between a dozen players, and a name that asked more of everyone wearing it.
The Gorkha name carries weight before a ball is ever kicked. It belongs to the regiments who built a reputation for nerve under pressure that still travels well beyond the hills they came from. This club doesn't claim that history. It just tries to earn a small place beside it, one season at a time.
That's the whole idea behind the crest: a football for the game we play, two crossed khukuris for the discipline we borrow, and a rising star for the only direction the club is interested in.
A Gorkha soldier's oldest rule is simple: courage outranks comfort, every time, no exceptions. We've just pointed that rule at a football pitch instead of a battlefield.
